I just finished listening to your very insightful interview with Richton Thomas on WHPK here in Chicago. I was much pleased with what I heard and learned. While listening to the interview, I’m sitting here at the computer, and I immediately went online to learn more about you and your music. I’m having a good time gaining some additional insights regarding your career. I’m a self proclaimed jazz video archivist. I’m a frustrated musician who has traded in his ax (alto) for a video camera and my aim is to capture for history sake as much jazz as I possibly can focus my lens upon.
I generally make my videos available to the musicians that I video tape at no charge, and I don’t post my work on the internet. I leave that for the musician to do themselves. That way I gain their trust for future video sessions.
I’ll end this email now and say the I will be purchasing some of your music which sounds interesting from what I’ve heard Rich play during your interview.
